Huangjing town is located in the northwest of Gulin County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. It borders Tucheng town of Xishui County and Lianghekou township of Chishui City in Guizhou Province in the East, Shuiwei town of Xuyong County of Luzhou City in the north, Guihua Town of Gulin County in the West and Gulin town of Gulin County in the south. In 2016, the town governs 4 villages and 26 groups, with a total number of 1327 households and a population of 5244 people, including 16 Miao people.

On June 8, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Luzhou to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Xuyong county and Gulin county (cfgm [2020] No. 5): the Guihua Town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Huangjing Town, and the people's Government of Huangjing town was stationed at No. 169 Guihua street, guihuashe district.
