Liujiang street, located in the southeast of Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, borders on Chenglong road sub district office and Sansheng street in the East, Zhonghe street in Shuangliu District in the south, Fu River in the West and Gaoxin District River in Chengdu, and Dongguang sub district office and Chenglong road sub district office in the North.

Science popularization activities

From May 31 to June 8, 2008, Liujiang sub District Association for science and Technology launched a popular science propaganda activity with the theme of "our festival" and around the earthquake relief work.

The first is to carry out multi-directional and multi-channel popularization of earthquake science knowledge around the earthquake relief work within the jurisdiction; the second is to send more than 2000 copies of publicity materials, manuals and wall charts of earthquake science knowledge to communities; the third is to timely replace "mutual support of family members after disaster" and "in life after disaster" in the publicity window of community science knowledge The fourth is to provide the communities with three movable science popularization exhibition boards (Yilabao) made by the District Association for science and technology to publicize the science popularization knowledge to the community residents in a vivid form.

Activities for the benefit of the people

Liujiang Street conscientiously organized and carried out the "two festivals" activities for the benefit of the people, which fully reflected the concern of the party and the government for the poor people, especially the vulnerable people. One is to visit the employees of the enterprises under the jurisdiction to find out whether the enterprises are in arrears with the wages of the employees, especially the wages of the migrant workers. Second, effective measures should be taken to ensure that the basic living expenses, unemployment insurance benefits, basic pensions for enterprise retirees and the minimum living allowance for urban and rural residents of laid-off workers in state-owned enterprises are paid in place. The third is to care about and help the vulnerable groups. In view of the poverty caused by illness of Liu Jixian's husband and wife, we organized cadres and workers in the streets and communities to donate more than 5800 yuan to help solve part of their medical expenses.

Strengthening Party Affairs

Liujiang Street adheres to the activity of learning and practicing the scientific outlook on development, highlights the "four strengthening" in promoting the construction of Party style and clean government in the street community, and constantly tamps the foundation of the construction of Party style and clean government. First, strengthen publicity. Second, strengthen responsibility. In combination with deepening the reform of street system and community governance mechanism, efforts have been made to strengthen the organizational and institutional construction of anti-corruption in streets and communities. It has been made clear that the secretaries of Street Party Working Committee and community party organizations are the first responsible persons for the construction of Party style and clean government. The "one post and two responsibilities" have been implemented.
