By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Hou Ye Town was 23362. As of June 2020, houye town has one community and six administrative villages.

History of construction

At the end of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to houyejia in chongshanli on the North Bank of Yunyang County.
In April 1953, houye township was established from Nongba township.
In September 1958, houye township was changed into houye commune.
In 1983, houye commune was changed into houye township.
In 2013, houye township was changed from township to town.
