Ronglong Town, subordinate to Rongchang District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Rongchang District, adjacent to Changyuan street in the East, Guangshun street and Anfu street in the south, Longchang County in Sichuan Province in the west, Longji town and Renyi town in the north, 17 kilometers away from the people's Government of Rongchang District, with a total area of 64.22 square kilometers.

In 1948, Ronglong township was established under the jurisdiction of Longchang County. In December 1993, Ronglong township was changed into Ronglong town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Rong long town was 41327. As of June 2020, Ronglong town has two communities and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xinmin community.

In 2018, there were 49 industrial enterprises in Ronglong Town, of which 23 were large-scale and 12 were comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1948, Ronglong township was established under the jurisdiction of Longchang County.

After 1949, it was put under the management of Rongchang County, belonging to the third district (Renyi District).

In 1953, Ronglong district was established as the seventh district.

In March 1958, Ronglong commune was rebuilt.

In June 1984, Ronglong commune was changed into Ronglong township.

In December 1993, it was changed from Ronglong township to Ronglong town.

Ronglong town has jurisdiction over the street community and 14 administrative villages including Xianfeng, Huapu, Guoyuan, Huangping, Taipingqiao, shabazi, Boxiang, Gaotian, Yanshan, Yujiu, Kaiyuan, Tiesuo, Qingfeng and Fuling temple.

By the end of 2011, Ronglong town had jurisdiction over Xinmin and geqiao communities, Xianfeng, Huangping, Guoyuan, shabazi, Baixiang, Gaotian and Yujiu administrative villages, 18 resident groups and 65 villager groups.
