Zhutuo Town, subordinate to Yongchuan District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Yongchuan District. It is connected with Songji town in the East and Jiangjin district across the river, Hejiang County in the South and southwest, Luxian County in the northwest, Xianlong town in the north and Hegeng town in the northeast. It is 42 kilometers away from the main urban area, with a total area of 127.27 square kilometers.

In 620, Wanshou county was established in Zhutuo town; in 1985, Zhutuo town was established; in November 2003, Dahe Town and ZhangGu Township were merged into Zhutuo town. By the end of 2018, the population of Zhu Tuo Town registered residence was 88611. As of June 2020, Zhutuo town has jurisdiction over 2 communities, 18 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Zhutuo town is located in the port community.

In 2018, there were 51 industrial enterprises in Zhutuo Town, including 21 enterprises above Designated Size and 32 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 620, Wanshou county was established in Zhutuo town.

In the second year of Yuanyou (1087) of the Northern Song Dynasty, the county was withdrawn and returned to Jiangjin County. The original county government and its surrounding areas became the Handong township of Jiangjin.

In 1985, Zhutuo town was established.

In August 1992, ZhangGu, Yuelong and Siming townships were merged into Zhutuo town.

In September 1998, Zhutuo town set up ZhangGu township.

In November 2003, Dahe Town and ZhangGu Township were merged into Zhutuo town.

By the end of 2011, Zhutuo town had jurisdiction over two communities, namely Gangkou and fulongqiao, 18 administrative villages, including Handong, weizishan, shuidutan, xinanshan, ZhangGu, jiucengyan, madouzi, zhuanlong, Fuliang, Shiwo, Tanzikou, Siming, Jiangyong, Longbaoshan, longhuiya, Zhuqiao, siwangshan and Dahe, and 16 resident groups and 132 villager groups.
