Chahe
Chahe Town, subordinate to Changjiang Li Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the southwest of Changjiang Li Autonomous County, bordering Shilu town in the East, Changhua River in the South and Dongfang City. It is adjacent to shijitian town in the West and North. The town people's government is 20 kilometers away from Shilu. The total area is 98.8 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Chahe town was located in Dacun cave of guichanghua county. In 1987, the district was changed into Chahe town. By the end of 2018, 14951 people registered residence in the town of fork river. As of June 2020, Chahe town has jurisdiction over one community and seven administrative villages. The town people's government is located in laoyangdi village.

Historical evolution
In the late Qing Dynasty, Dacun cave in guichanghua county.
In 1914, it was returned to Changjiang County.
In 1935, it was assigned to the Fourth District of Baisha County.
In 1952, it belonged to the Second District of Dongfang County.
In October 1958, Dongfang County set up Chahe commune.
In October 1958, Changgan County, Dongfang County and Baisha County were merged into Dongfang County (then called Da county), and Chahe county was merged into Shilu commune.
In May 1959, Shilu commune was divided into three communes: Shilu commune, Chahe commune and qicha commune. In the same year, the people's Government of Dongfang County (Daxian county) was stationed in Chahe.
In May 1961, the restoration of Changjiang County belonged to Changjiang County, and Chahe commune was divided into two communes: Chahe commune and shijitian commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Chahe district.
In 1987, the repealed area was changed to Chahe town.
In July 2002, the administrative division of the township was adjusted, and Hongyang village, which used to be Baoping Township, was classified as a village.
