Yacha Town, belonging to Baisha Li Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the Middle East of Baisha Li Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Xishui Township in the East, Yuanmen Township in the southeast, Nankai Township in the south, Qingsong Township in the southwest, Qifang town in the west, Da'an Town in the Northwest, Fulong Township in the north and Nanfeng town in Danzhou City in the northeast. Yacha town is the seat of Baisha Li Autonomous County. The total administrative area is 264.48 square kilometers.

In 1935, Yacha township was set up when the county was established, belonging to Baisha District 1. In July 2002, Baisha Town and Nancha Township were merged. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 51659. As of June 2020, there are 5 communities and 13 administrative villages in Yacha Town, and the people's Government of Yacha town is located in Qiaonan road.

Historical evolution

In 1935, Yacha township was set up when the county was established, belonging to Baisha District 1.

In June 1945, it merged with Baisha Township to become Yabai township.

In 1946, Yacha and Baisha were analyzed.

In 1948, it was the residence of Baisha County People's Government in winter.

In 1949, Yacha, Zhujiang, yabing and Jiujia were established.

In the first half of 1958, county towns were established, and Yacha, Jiujia, yabing, Zhujiang and other townships were incorporated.

In 1989, the villagers' committee was changed into a management area, and nanzhong villagers' committee was divided into two management areas: nanzhong and Zhizhen, Jiujia villagers' committee into two management areas: Jiujia and Russia, yabing villagers' committee into two management areas: yabing and tanzhuo, and Yacha town has eight management areas.

In 1995, the management area was changed into a villagers' committee, and nine villagers' committees were set up in Yacha town.

In July 2002, Baisha Town and Nancha Township were merged.
