Daxing District is located in the northeast of Daxing District, 20 kilometers away from Capital International Airport and 10 kilometers away from Beijing station. At the end of 2006, Daxing District had an area of 39.63 square kilometers and a permanent population of 55318 (2010).

Historically, it was the site of royal garden forest in Qing Dynasty. Originally belonging to Hongxing friendship commune, Yizhuang township was established in 1983. In 1996, it covers an area of 18 square kilometers and has a population of 12000. It governs 12 administrative villages including xiaoyangfang, Dayangfang north, Dayangfang south, shuangqiaobei, shuangqiaonan, Jianzhuang north, Jianzhuang south, daliangtai, dongguangdezhuang, fuyuanzhuang, niangniangmiao, Dongchang and a neighborhood committee in dongyingzi. In 2000, Yizhuang Township and Luquan Township were abolished and Yizhuang Town was merged. At the end of 2002, the town government was located in the south of Beihuan West Road, with an area of 39.5 square kilometers and a population of 22400. It governed four communities, namely Guiyuan Beili, Guiyuan Dongli, Guiyuan Nanli and Fuyuan Li, and Luquan 1, Luquan 2, Luquan 3, Luquan 4, baoshanzhuang, No.1, No.2, No.5, No.9, xiaojiazhuang, Dayangfang south, Dayangfang north, xiaoyangfang, shuangqiaonan, shuangqiaobei, dongjiachang Fuyuanzhuang has 17 administrative villages. On November 3, 2005, Yizhuang regional office was officially established. In 2008, it has jurisdiction over 13 communities and 5 administrative villages. In 2009, the area was 39.6 square kilometers, with 26096 registered residence, 12 residential committees and 13 administrative villages. Among them, Shuangqiao South team, Shuangqiao North team, Xiao Fang Fang, sheep Fang South team, sheep Fang North team, number one, west five, nine, deer ring, deer circle two, deer ring three, deer ring four and other 12 villages were moved upstairs, according to "Da Xing Yearbook 2010".
