Shiling Town

According to the records of Qianjiang county annals, Qingqian was under the jurisdiction of Shiling regiment of Nanzhen. During the period of the Republic of China and the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Qianjiang county. In 2006, the whole town governed one community, 11 Village committees and 77 natural villages, mainly inhabiting Han, Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Shui and other nationalities.

physical geography

The town is hilly. There are mountains in the west of the terrain, and others are relatively flat. The mountains are mainly distributed in the west of quanlai, extending to Fushan, Ganlong, Shangqiu and guabang village committees, forming a Northwest southwest trend, about 6km long and 0.5km wide, with an altitude of 220m. The highest peak is Bama mountain with an altitude of 291.6m. Qingshui River flows into Qianjiang town from south to north through guabang, Chencun, Chenliu, Zhongxing and quanlai villagers' committees. The total length of Qingshui River is about 8 km. Shiling Town has abundant sunshine, strong light, annual average temperature of 20.7 ℃, annual rainfall of 1370.9 mm. As it is located by Qingshui River, it is prone to flood and waterlogging. Shiling Town is a karst landform, mainly composed of light gray limestone, dolomitic limestone, dolomite, clay and clay. Proven mineral resources include coal, laterite germanium, calcite, iron, etc., with coal reserves of more than 6.7 million tons. Wild plants are knotweed, golden thatch, centipede grass and so on.

The total agricultural output value of the town reached 218.48 million yuan, an increase of 10.7% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers was 3406 yuan, an increase of 640 yuan over the previous year. Forestry since 1999, 14000 mu of afforestation has been completed in the whole town, and more than 100% of the annual tasks have been completed, including 2670 mu of returning farmland to forest, 11000 mu of supporting barren mountain afforestation, and varieties of pine, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Eucalyptus urophylla, bamboo, tung oil tree, etc. Sugarcane in the town has an area of 69590 mu, of which 27000 Mu were newly planted in 2006, all of which are high sugar varieties. 15000 mu of "ton sugar field" was implemented. Driven by the breeding community, the town has gradually formed a breeding scale focusing on raising binary crossbred sows, lean meat pigs, fattening cattle, goats and other fine varieties.

Native product stone

"Sanjian sweet potato powder" produced by Sanjian village, Sanshan village committee, Shiling Town, is refined by strict grinding, steaming, drying, cutting and other traditional special processes. It is a famous local food suitable for both the old and the young.
