Jintian town

Jintian town is located in the north of Guiping City, Guangxi, 24 kilometers away from Guiping city. It is located in the center of five towns in the north of Guiping district. Two secondary highways from Guiping to Jintian and from Pingnan County to Wuxuan County pass through the town, making Jintian town the hub of Central Guangxi, Southern Guangxi and Northern Guangxi to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Original name

Before the Republic of China, Jintian town was always known as Daxuan, or Xinwei. "Wei" was the local name for the town in Cantonese. The old overseas Chinese who moved abroad from this place knew Da Xuanwei but not Jintian town. Jintian used to be a village. It originated from the Yao people's uprising in the Ming Dynasty. Hou Dagou, the leader of the rebel army (Zhuzhan people in Guiping), prepared to build the capital in the area of Bauhinia and Jintian. He named the place where Jintian was built as the capital "Jinlong hall", or "Jindian" for short. After the failure of the uprising, the local people did not dare to call it "Jindian" and changed it to "Jintian" (homonym of "Jindian" in Cantonese). After Hong Xiuquan came to Jintian to preach, he fixed the name of "Jintian". After liberation, it has been called "Jintian"

Jintian villagers and their ancestors are Hakkas who immigrated here from Guangdong and other places. Huaxian County, Guangdong Province, where the revolution was brewing, is where the Hakkas live together, and Jintian village, which has sprung up, is also a Hakka territory.

High quality grain, fruit, Huaishan and yellow sand turtle are the agricultural pillar industries of Jintian town. Among them, the annual planting area of Huaishan is more than 20000 mu. With the support of the Department of agriculture of the autonomous region and the Agricultural Bureau of Guiping City, the standardized planting of Huaishan has been implemented since 2002. The annual yield of fresh Huaishan is more than 50000 tons, and the products are exported to Southeast Asia. At the same time, it is popular because of its high quality, delicious taste and high nutritional value. In addition, Shajiang, star anise, fruit cane, flowers and other production also reached a certain scale. In 2008, Jintian village was named the village of Huaishan in Guangxi.

San Jie Temple

Located on the hillside of Qinghu village in Longhua, the "Sanjie Temple" in Shenzhen was built in the Ming Dynasty with three bays and two deep layouts. The temple has wooden beams and tile roofs, grey and green brick walls. On the walls, there are still some color paintings describing filial piety and fraternity. On the eaves and beams, there are exquisite carvings. On the walls, there are "inscriptions on the rebuilding of Sanjie Temple", which was recorded by the rebuilding in 1832. The inscription describes the origin, legend and grand occasion of the temple fair of Sanjie temple. In 2011, the overseas compatriots and villagers of Qinghu village spontaneously donated money and materials to rebuild the old site. On May 23, 2014, the temple was completed and held a ceremony of regaining its glory.

Rural culture

Jintian town has a long history, strong rural culture, simple customs, hospitable people, Hakka culture has a long history. Mass cultural and sports activities are carried out regularly.
