Forestry construction
Ningkang township is located in the northernmost part of Teng County, surrounded by mountains, mild climate, fertile land, suitable for planting all kinds of economic forest. For a long time, Ningkang people have a good tradition of planting pine, Cunninghamia lanceolata, star anise, cinnamon and other economic forests, but the scale of planting is generally small, and most of them use traditional planting methods, so the economic benefits are not obvious. How to increase farmers' income and further implement the project of returning farmland to forest has become a top priority for the local government. before the Spring Festival in 2003, the township organized relevant personnel to carry out in-depth investigation in various villages, to find out the problems and weak links in the mass planting, to determine the guiding ideology of "taking mountains as a business, prospering Ningxia and enriching the people", and to build a "green bank". Cadres and forestry technicians from Ningkang Township separately went to each village to hold afforestation mobilization meetings to discuss strategies for returning farmland to forests and increasing farmers' income. According to the plan, this spring, Ningkang township will further do a good job in the basic work of afforestation, promote the structural adjustment of tree species by afforestation, and promote the ecological construction of forestry.
