Jiaozui Street

Jiaozui street is located in the west of Wanxiu district. Jiaozui, or triangle mouth, is named because it is located at the confluence of the three rivers and forms a triangle peninsula extending into the river. "Triangle mouth" has been made a division of Wuzhou City, representing Hexi city. The original jurisdiction of jiaozui street is from Baihou village in the west to sanjiaozui in the East. In the Ming Dynasty, the west section was the training ground for soldiers and horses, which was called gujiaochang. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, it had become a large vegetable field. Many foreigners came here to live, cultivate and settle down. Gradually become a suburb of the city, where most of the farmers live. Triangle mouth area, Qing Dynasty belongs to Wuzhou Cangwu County, shuixifang, baolunfang. During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to riverside town. In 1949, it was divided into districts along the Yangtze River, fuminfang and Daxue road. In 1953, jiaozui road was merged with Wenlan road and Daxue Road, which was called jiaozui road. After 1950s, a new road parallel to this road was built and named jiaozui road. The original jiaozui road was renamed jiaozui back street. From January 1950 to may 1953, it belongs to Hebin town. From May 1953 to August 1955, it belongs to the Second District of Wuzhou City. From August 1955 to September 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of jiaozui street of Wuzhou Municipal People's Committee. From September 1958 to April 1960, it was under the jurisdiction of Hexi District. From April 1960 to August 1980, it was under the jurisdiction of Dieshan (Xiangyang) people's Commune and Dieshan district.

From March 1992 to August 2002, jiaozui Street governed jiaozui Road neighborhood committee, the first neighborhood committee of Changchang 1st Road, the second neighborhood committee of Changchang 1st Road, the first neighborhood committee of Xinxing 1st Road, the second neighborhood committee of Xinxing 1st Road, the third and fourth neighborhood committee of Xinxing 1st Road, Gaowang Road neighborhood committee, shenglongli neighborhood committee and Xidi 2nd Road neighborhood committee. In August 2002, the community system was implemented. Jiaozui Street governs Xinxing community, Zhushan community, Xinhua community, aoqili community, Gaowang community, pantang community and Tangyuan community. It governs 22 streets.

Development history

In 1877, there was a Chinese (Cantonese) antimony smelter in sanjiaozui, the first factory in Guangxi Province. In the 23rd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, after Wuzhou was opened as a trading port, many industries in Wuzhou had a foothold, developed and laid a foundation here. In 1923, Shen Hongying, a warlord, set up a money Bureau in sanjiaozui. By 1949, more than 30 factories had been set up in sanjiaozui area, including daily necessities, textile, chemical industry, machinery, foundry, food, industry, oil refining, forest chemical industry, etc. Jiaozui street became the earliest Industrial Zone in Wuzhou City. By the 1980s, there were more than 80 factories in Hexi industrial zone. In the 1990s, the people's Government of Wuzhou adjusted the industrial layout of Wuzhou and moved the factories in Hexi industrial zone out of the outer suburbs by stages and in batches. Triangle mouth area has become one of the main areas of real estate development. In 2010, there were more than 60 administrative and public institutions in jiaozui street, including Wuzhou Architectural Design Institute, Wuzhou water conservancy and Electric Power Bureau, Wuzhou flood control headquarters, Wuzhou branch of Bank of China, Wuzhou Central Branch of people's Bank of China, Wuzhou branch of China Construction Bank, Wuzhou Red Cross Hospital, Wuzhou branch of people's Insurance Company of China and Wuzhou branch of people's Insurance Company of China Petroleum Branch, Wuzhou hydrology bureau, Wuzhou waterway work area, Wuzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, Wuzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Wuzhou Health Supervision Institute, etc. There are two vegetable markets, Xinxing and Wenlan. Jiaozui street is the earliest area of education development in Wuzhou City. Han Yong, the governor of Guangxi, first established an Academy at baiheguan in the southern foot of Zhushan mountain from the first year of Chenghua to the 23rd year of Ming Dynasty (1465-1487). It was the earliest "school" in Wuzhou with historical records. He also founded Luyi Academy in baiheguan. During the reign of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty, Longquan Academy was built on the North Bank of Guijiang river. In 1928, Guangxi University, the first university in Guangxi, was established in butterfly mountain. In 1958, Wuzhou University was founded in Zhushan. In 2010, there were 10 primary and secondary schools in jiaozui street, including 1 Guangxi key high school (Wuzhou high school) and 12 kindergartens. Jiaozui street has become an area where Wuzhou education and culture developed earlier and schools concentrated. In 2000, there were 32200 people in jiaozui street, 32300 in 2003 and 74700 in 2006. In 2010, the population was 33935 (2010).
