Ziyuan town is located in the middle of Ziyuan County, bordering caiwan of Quanzhou County in the East, Zhongfeng Township in the south, Meixi Township and Guali Township in the north and Chetian Township in the West. The town government is located in the center of the county. The traffic conditions in the territory are convenient, and the three main highways of Zimei, Zibai and Ziwu all pass through the territory. All administrative villages are connected with roads, and cable TV has been opened, with a coverage rate of 85%.

The whole town runs through the north and south, and its tributaries include Zijiang River, Shixi River, Majia River, Xiaodi River, Xiangxi River, Tianmen River, Tonghe River and Xiumu river. The water resources are very rich, and the power generation has reached 4500kw. The territory is also rich in forest resources and mineral resources. Most of the river sections and scenic spots of Zijiang River rafting are distributed in the four villages of Xiaodi, Wendong, Xiaojin and Tianmen, Baoding waterfall in the shangliangshui reservoir area of Tonghe village, Xianrengu ecological and Cultural Park, caojiachong tourist resort and ethnic document style park, which have unique advantages in the development of sightseeing agriculture. Relying on the rising tourism industry, the number of production and processing of a set of bamboo industry, local products and Flower Bonsai will be increased, so as to increase employment and expand the tertiary industry.
