Guanyang town

Guanyang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Guanyang County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of Guanyang County, adjacent to Dao County and Jiangyong County in Hunan Province in the East, Xinjie town in the south, Xishan Yao Township and Quanzhou County in the west, Xinwei town and Shuiche town in the north, with a total area of 393.3 square meters. In 617, it was the seat of the county government. In the 47th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1708), the town was named Longgang town when it was built, belonging to guanyinbao. On August 14, 1998, Guanyang town was merged with Hongqi township to build a new Guanyang town. By the end of 2019, Guanyang town has a total population of 75876, with 26 administrative villages and 4 communities under its jurisdiction. The town government is located at 86 Guanjiang North Road.

In 2018, the GDP of Guanyang town increased by 4.3%; the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 32500 yuan, an increase of 6.6%; the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 10900 yuan, an increase of 11.1%.

History of construction

In 617, it was the seat of the county government.

In the 47th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1708), the town was named Longgang town when it was built, belonging to guanyinbao.

During the period of the Republic of China, the abandoned Fort belonged to one district, Wanglou district and Longren township.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, it was renamed Chengguan Street, belonging to Chengxiang District.

In 1958, the implementation of the people's commune, a red flag people's commune.

In 1968, the people's commune of Chengguan town was set up.

In March 1983, it was renamed Guanyang town.

In 1984, Hongqi commune was newly established as Hongqi township.

On August 14, 1998, Guanyang town was merged with Hongqi township to build a new Guanyang town.
