Gongdong Township

Gongdong township is located in the north of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, bordering Hongshui Township in the south, Yangxi Township in Sanjiang County in the northeast, Liangzhai Township in the west, Danian Township in the north and Baiyun Township in the northeast. The township government is 115 km away from Rongshui county.

General situation

Banda highway passes through and Gongdong river reaches Danian river. Gongdong River can be connected to Duliu river channel by 1.5-ton wooden boat in Danian. The township has a total area of 151.26 square kilometers, forest area of 7366.67 hectares, forest coverage rate of 55.9%; cultivated land area of 867.53 hectares, including paddy field area of 626.6 hectares, dry land area of 240.9 hectares; jurisdiction Gongdong, Guangxiong, pingmao, Yaolong, gaowu, Longling, Longpei, Longwei, Dagou, Yangniao 11 village committees, 42 natural villages. Gongdong Township mainly planted rice. On the basis of stabilizing the development of grain production, it vigorously developed the production of other economic crops. local products include Lentinus edodes, Auricularia auricula, Tung seeds, Miscanthus, etc.; medicinal materials include honeysuckle, Platycodon grandiflorum, Dipsacus asperata, polygonatum, Gouteng, red eucommia, Litsea cubeba, coix seed, etc. Medicinal materials include Panax notoginseng, Platycodon grandiflorum, Poria cocos, etc. In 2003, the township party committee and government vigorously adjusted the economic structure according to the economic development idea of "tea, fruit and bamboo in the mountains, grain, fish and vegetables in the fields", and established an industrial structure with tea, moso bamboo and fruit as the main products, taking into account traditional industries such as Chinese fir, star anise and yellow wolfberry. The township is now planting 5758 mu of tea, 2500 mu of fruit. The total grain output is 5.113 million kg, the fiscal revenue is 479000 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 966 yuan.

There are 1 junior middle school with 421 students and 32 teaching staff; 11 village primary schools with 10 teaching points with 2667 students and 135 teaching staff; 1 central health center with 23 medical staff.
