Guangtai town
Guangtai Town, belonging to Puning City, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Puning City, 21.3 kilometers away from Liusha North Street. It is adjacent to Xianqiao town of Rongcheng district and Jinzao town of Chaoyang District in the East. The total area of the town is 37.3 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence population of Guangzhou city was 65270. As of June 2020, Guangtai town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 21 administrative villages.
On April 26, 1949, Guangtai town was liberated. In December 1958, Huilai County and Puning County merged, and Hongxing commune was under the jurisdiction of Puning county. In October 1986, the district was withdrawn to build a township, and Guangtai town was changed again. The cultural customs of Guangtai town include Chaozhou Opera, Sanshan king, camp master, Puning Yingge dance, etc.

Historical evolution
Before the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Longxi department and was called Guangtai township.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was called Guangtai town and set up Guangtai District, including Guangtai Town, xindongxiang, Quzhong Township, Yuenan Township, Xinan Township and dongdun township.
In 1942, it was renamed the Fourth District, including Guangtai Town, Yuenan Township, Nanxi Township, Xindong Township, dongdun Township, kuilong Township, Meifeng Town, Nanyang Township, Songyang Township, Yunluo Township and Gaopu township.
Guangtai town was liberated on April 26, 1949. After Huilai County People's government was established on August 1, 1949, Guangtai District governed one town and 14 administrative villages, including Guangtai town and Yuanqing, Tunxi, Xibei, Linghou, Lingnan, Xinhu, hengpo, Shijiao, kuichang, Xuanwu, Changchun, Jicheng, Xinan and other administrative villages.
In May 1952, it was renamed the third district of Huilai County, which governs Guangtai town and ten townships.
In April 1953, the third district of Huilai County governed Guangtai Town, shisan Township and 73 natural villages.
In December 1956, the district was removed to build a township and changed to Guangtai town.
On September 14, 1958, the county abolished the township system, implemented the integration of government and society, merged the areas of Guangtai town and QingKeng Town, and established Hongxing people's commune.
In December 1958, Huilai County and Puning County merged, and Hongxing commune was under the jurisdiction of Puning county.
In 1961, after Huilai County was restored, it was renamed Guangtai commune.
In November 1983, the government and society were divided into districts and townships, which was changed into Guangtai District, with jurisdiction over Guangtai town and sixteen townships.

Puning Yingge dance
Puning Yingge is a folk art which integrates drama, dance and martial arts. The performers are all male, and its origin can be traced back to the early Ming dynasty or even earlier. Hutoupu ancient kiln site
Hutoupu ancient kiln site is located in the south slope of hutoupu, Mianyuan village, Guangtai Town, Puning City, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. The provincial, local and county cultural and Museum departments jointly excavated 15 pottery kilns and unearthed a large number of printed pottery pieces, including 3 pottery pots and 7 pebbles.
Pottery and pottery pieces are muddy gray pottery, most of which are pot shaped. The main features are high collar, drum belly, circle bottom, short circle foot, and all kinds of printing patterns on the outer wall, including stripes, discontinuous stripes, rectangular grid patterns, curved ruler patterns, circle patterns, leaf vein patterns, weaving patterns, etc. Kiln shape can be roughly divided into three types: plane gourd shape, plane round shape and plane square shape.
There are nine plane gourd shaped kilns in total, which are transverse cave kilns with "8" shape in plane. They are built according to the mountain situation, with grass mixed mud as the bottom and wall of the kiln. This kind of kiln is generally about 3.50 meters long and 1.50 meters wide. It is divided into three parts: kiln chamber, fire chamber and fire passage. The kiln chamber is on the top, the fire chamber is on the bottom, and the fire passage is connected in the middle.
