Linpan Town, Jiedong District, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province (formerly Jieyang industrial transfer park), is located in the center of the west of Jieyang City. Historical evolution

Linpan has a long history. As early as in the late primitive society, the ancestors of Nantang mountain worked hard here to reproduce. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the population increased gradually and the economy developed, so it was said that "Jieyang county was not set up, but bamboo fenced first". Most of the ancestors of the existing residents are from the late Southern Song Dynasty, the early Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty.

From 1138, Linpan area was under the jurisdiction of Jieyang County; in Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Jiaolong Bureau of Lintian capital and Zhongyue Bureau of Panxi capital. During the period of the Republic of China, Jiaolong Township, the third district of Jieyang County, and pangui Township, the first district (once the eighth District), were under the jurisdiction of Jieyang county.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Panxi district. In July 1950, it was merged under the jurisdiction of Panling district. In May 1951, it was divided into Panxi district (later renamed as District 9 and District 8). In January 1957, it was withdrawn from the district to build a township. In 1958, it was merged under the jurisdiction of Panxi township. In the winter of the same year, it was merged into Panling people's commune. In September 1959, it was demolished as Panxi people's commune, and in the spring of 1961, it was again demolished as Linpan people's commune. In the winter of 1983, the commune system was abolished and renamed Linpan district office. Jiedong county was established in December 1991 under the jurisdiction of Jiedong county. In March 2013, Jiedong county was removed to build a district, and Linpan town was put under the jurisdiction of Lancheng district. In December 2016, it was under the jurisdiction of Jieyang industrial transfer park (formerly Lancheng District), and in February 2018, it was the resident (county) of Jieyang industrial transfer park management committee.
