Futang town is about 30 kilometers away from Lianshan County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the south of the county, with a total population of 16577 people (in 2017). The nationalities are Zhuang, Yao and Han, and the proportion of Zhuang and Yao is 51%. With a total area of 189.37 square kilometers (2017), there are many mountains, and the per capita land area is 0.9 mu.
