Ningzhong town

Ningzhong Town, subordinate to Xingning City, Guangdong Province, is located in the north of Xingcheng City, adjacent to Yonghe town in the East, Ningxin street in the south, Xingtian street, Xinpi town and Yetang town in the west, Longtian town and Shima town in the north, with a total area of 43.64 square kilometers. By the end of 2017, the total population of Ningzhong town was 27341. By 2019, Ningzhong town has one community and 23 administrative villages, and the town government is located in Ningzhong community.

In 1979, Xingning county had 43 people's commune revolutionary committees. The present situation of Ningzhong town belongs to the revolutionary committees of Ningzhong and ningtang people's communes. In September 1993, the township system was abolished and seven townships were renamed towns. Now Ningzhong town belongs to Ningzhong town and ningtang town respectively. In November 2004, with the consent of Guangdong Provincial People's government, ningtang town was abolished in Xingning City, and the original administrative region of ningtang town was merged into Ningzhong town.

In 2018, the total rural economic income of Ningzhong town was 601 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%; the per capita net income of farmers was 9383 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%; the town level income of industrial and commercial taxes was 3754400 yuan, accounting for 119.36% of the budget.

In November 1983, the Standing Committee of the Sixth People's Congress of Xingning County deliberated and approved the "plan for removing social organizations into districts and building townships", and decided to change the "political and social integration" system. In June 1987, according to the Guangdong provincial government's "reply on Abolishing the establishment of township (town) system in Xingning county's district offices", Xingning County reformed its administrative system by abolishing 29 districts (towns) and establishing 22 towns and 7 townships. Now Ningzhong town belongs to Ningzhong Township and ningtang town.

Heshanyan reservoir

Heshanyan reservoir is located in the northeast and shanyanbei of Xingcheng, 7 kilometers away from the city, with a catchment area of 32.5 square kilometers. It forms a large set of small cascade reservoirs with the upstream seven story power generation reservoir and Heshan reservoir. The dam is 18 meters high, with a total storage capacity of 15.16 million cubic meters and an effective storage capacity of 7.288 million cubic meters. It was built in the winter of 1958 and completed the following spring.
