Zhuji street, built in December 2002, is based on Zhucun and Jishan villages in the former Dongpu town, and gets its name from the first word of the two villages' names. Covering an area of about 10 square kilometers, the street governs five community neighborhood committees and two village restructuring companies, including Zhucun south, Zhucun north, Jishan East, Jishan West, Qigang neighborhood committee, Zhucun Industry Co., Ltd. and Jishan Industry Co., Ltd. The total population of the street is 52552 (2010).

Zhuji district is one of the areas that Tianhe district develops from suburb to city. It is famous for its fresh environment, beautiful mountains and waters, olive Park, Zhucun Park and other natural and ecological landscapes. Traditional human landscapes, such as Qiqiao "paiqiniang", Dragon Boat Festival, ancestral temple complex, are unique. The main units in the jurisdiction are the oil and gas plant of the city gas company, the city asphalt concrete mixing plant, Jinqiao college, Huacheng college, Chaoshan college, Guangwu automobile sales center, Donghaitang food company, etc.

Jishan Village

(Jishan Industrial Co., Ltd.)

Jishan village is located in the east of Tianhe District, adjacent to Maogang, Huangpu District in the East, Zhucun, Zhongshan Avenue, guangjiu railway and Guangyuan East Road in the south, Zhucun in the West and Guangzhou Science City in the north. It has three natural villages, namely Jishan, Qishan and dalingang. Jishan village was built in 1380, the 13th year of Hongwu, Emperor Taizu of Ming Dynasty. It was mainly inhabited by people with the surname of Liang. Qishan village was built in the reign of emperor Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty (1644-1661), and dalingang village was built in the 26th year of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty (1900). These two villages originally belonged to Zhu Village and lived in the branch of Pan family in Zhu village. "Taoli in Dongyuan, Mudi in Xijiao, Chaoping in Nanjian, Hanmei in Beiling, bird sound in Songjing, Lichi in Sanshan and orange yellow in Shili" are the original eight sceneries of Jishan. Now there are olive Park and Qishan park for villagers' leisure and entertainment.

The traditional folk cultural and recreational activities in Jishan include big Opera (Cantonese Opera), floatation parade, singing Bayin, and blind singing. In 2006, a large-scale village meeting commemorating the anti bandit heroes in Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty was resumed. There is a couplet at the gate of Jishan village committee, which reads: the land is auspicious, the land is beautiful, the people are diligent and thrifty for more than 600 years, and the mountain village shows outstanding people, and the three thousand children are of one heart and one mind.

In December 2002, Zhuji street was established, and Jishan village was under the jurisdiction of Zhuji street from Dongpu town. In June 2005, Jishan village completed the work of removing the village and restructuring, and established Jishan Industrial Co., Ltd.

Zhucun was built in the first year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1131). It got its name because there were three small hills beside the village. It was initially called "sanzhugang" and later referred to as "Zhucun". Zhucun is adjacent to Huangpu District in the East, Qianjin village in the south, Huangcun village in the West and Guangshen Expressway in the north.

Since the Southern Song Dynasty, people surnamed pan, Zhong and Chen have moved in, forming a traditional village with the villagers of pan and Zhong as the main body. Among them, the pan family has 11 Fang Zhi and the Zhong family has 2 Fang Zhi. With the development of the clan, these 13 Fang Zhi have evolved into 13 economic societies.

Zhu village has a traditional and colorful folk cultural life, such as sacrificing the northern emperor, singing opera, dragon boat race on the Dragon Boat Festival, worshiping Qi Niang (also known as Qiqiao Festival) and other Lingnan folk customs. Dragon boat races are held in Shenyong section of Zhucun every year during the Dragon Boat Festival. The seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh lunar month is a traditional folk festival to worship Qiniang. The villagers of Zhucun village continue their traditional handicrafts and make all kinds of lifelike exhibits that are yearning for and reflecting a better life for people to watch. These folk activities enrich the cultural life of the villagers, promote the communication between the villagers and the neighboring villages, and protect and carry forward the traditional culture.

In December 2002, Zhuji street was established, and Zhucun village was under the jurisdiction of Zhuji street from Dongpu town. In June 2005, Zhucun completed the work of removing the village and restructuring, and established Zhucun Industrial Co., Ltd.
