Beer town is located in the northwest of Baojing County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, 45 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Longtou Township in the East, Mawang Township in the south, Qingshuiping town in the west, Yanchong Township and Longtou town in Longshan County across the river in the north. The total area is 65.07 square kilometers (2017). It has jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee, 11 villages, 53 villager groups and 11367 people (in 2017).
