Jingzi town

Jingzi town is located in the east of Shuangfeng County and the source of Juanshui. It is the hometown of Jiang Wan, the Prime Minister of Shu of the Three Kingdoms, Cai Hesen, the early founder of the Communist Party of China, and Cai Chang, the great pioneer of women's movement. The total land area of Jingzi town is 79.09 square kilometers (2017), including 24000 Mu paddy fields. It governs 21 administrative villages, 339 villager groups, and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 33912 (2017).

General situation of Jingzi town

Jingzi town borders qingshanqiao town of Xiangtan County in the East, Zhongsha town of Xiangxiang City in the north, Shatang town of Xiangtan County in the West and Heye town in the south. Shaoshan, Mao Zedong's hometown, is 50 km to the north and Hengshan, Nanyue, 40 km to the southeast; 314 provincial road and Juanshui river run through the town, and Jinggui line and Jinglong line connect with Xiangxiang and Xiangtan respectively. Jingzi town is mainly located in hilly area, which is the source of trickle water, surrounded by mountains such as Baishi peak, Ziyun peak and huangniu peak. The territory is subtropical monsoon climate, fertile soil, suitable climate, crops can be two or three crops a year, evergreen Four Seasons. Due to the influence of monsoon and topography, light, heat and water are unevenly distributed. It is rainy in spring and rainstorm in early summer. At the turn of summer and autumn, it is extremely hot and rainless, drought in summer and autumn is frequent, and freezing occasionally occurs in deep winter. In agricultural production, planting and breeding are the first, and there are many categories. It now has four mass work stations, including Jingzi, Baibi, Huaqiao and Wanli, 21 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee. The origin of the name

It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, the Prime Minister Jiang Wan's family of Shu lived on the banks of the Juanshui river. They were both farmers and businessmen. They were like markets, so they were named "Jiang's" and "Jiang's street". It was the first place to set up fairs in the county. In 1958, it was planned to build a "well" shaped street, which was later changed into a "well" shaped town.

Jiangshi street, a millennium old town

Origin: it is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, there was a beautiful place called yijiawan by the Juanshui river. Here lived a couple over 50 years old with no children. One night, Jiang's wife dreamed of a bright star falling straight to the head of the bed and pouncing into her arms. As the saying goes: "Xingzi Xingzi", this is the auspicious sign of getting a son. Soon, she was really pregnant. The couple were very happy. One morning, with the sun shining and the sun shining, Jiang's wife gave birth to a fat white son. As soon as the child landed, a bright light suddenly shot into the sky from the back hall. All of a sudden, the roof tiles are flying, the birds are flying in the back mountain, the fish are jumping in the pond, and the cattle are neighing in the bay. Jiang's father thought that his wife's dream was auspicious, and the auspicious omen of the child's birth reappeared, so he named his son "Wan", symbolizing the auspicious omen with Mei Yu. When he was a child, Jiang Wan was beautiful and intelligent. All the people in the Bay like him very much. Little Jiang Wan studied hard and practiced martial arts. As a teenager, he was famous for his profound talent and excellent martial arts. Later, Jiang Wan followed Liu Bei into Shu, which was highly valued by Zhuge Liang and served as prime minister. When Zhuge Liang attacked the state of Wei, he was in charge of the supply of grain and rates. After Zhuge Liang's death, he took power on behalf of Liang and recorded books for the general. Jiang Wan once planted mulberry and hemp in yijiawan, raised fish and cooked, and shared weal and woe with his neighbors. He also built a small street on the right bank of the Juanshui River, so that more than 100 local poor families without houses could live there and do small businesses, so that they could live and work in peace and contentment. The Chiang family and its neighbors live here. They are both farmers and businessmen, just like a market. "Jiangshi Street" is so called.

Evolution of organizational system

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the eight capitals of xingrang in Wanquan township of Xiangxiang county and the 23 capitals of Tongliang in Xingle township. In the Republic of China, it was a part of Tongliang Township and xingrang Township in the second district. The founding of new China initially belonged to the working group of xingrang Township in the second district and Tongliang working group in the third district of Xiangxiang county. In 1950, the township was designated as Yuexi, Baibi, Changtang, Jiangshi, Huaqiao, Dabu and Wanli Township in the third district of Xiangxiang county. In 1952, Baibi, Shitang, Shiquan, Hongshan, changwan, Yuexi, Changtang, Jiangshi, Wanli, Huangchao, Dabu, Shizhu, Huaqiao, Tongfu, Tongfeng, Tongle, Songbai and Pingshi townships were located in the Fifth District of Shuangfeng County. In 1953, the township was merged into Baibi, Yuexi, Hongquan, Changtang, Jiangshi, Dabu, Shizhu, Huaqiao, Tongle, Wanli and Songzhuang townships in the Fifth District. In 1957, Jiangshi Township and Baibi Township belong to Heye office. In 1958, it was Jingzi people's commune. In 1961, it belonged to Jingzi, Wanli and Baibi communes in Heye district. It was restored to Jingzi commune in 1968. In 1969, it belonged to Jingzi and Baibi communes in Heye district. In 1984, the township of social reform was Baibi Township and Jingzi town in Heye district. In February 1989, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Jingzi town.

Jingzi town is surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. Ziyun peak in the south, with an altitude of 818.8 meters, is the highest peak in the county and an important Buddhist resort. Tongliang mountain lies in the East, which is the natural boundary between Shuangfeng County and Xiangxiang and Xiangtan. Lingying peak, the main peak, and Baishi peak in the west, are the second and third peaks in the county, respectively. They are one of the 72 peaks of Nanyue. Huangchao mountain is dangerous and the throat from Xiangxi to Nanyue, The Yellow nest uprising army once stationed troops here, so it got its name; Yunxi temple is the earliest temple in Loudi, and its ruins are still there; Juanshui River, like a ribbon, flows out from the depth of Huangchao mountain, flows through Jiang Wan's hometown, passes through Fu houtang, Zeng Guofan's former residence, and then goes straight down Hengshan and Xiangtan, and joins Xiangjiang River; Fuxi is a natural summer resort with beautiful scenery; Xiashi mountain is a beautiful granite forest The park is full of mountains and fields, and the bare stones have their own expressions, which are very spectacular. Due to the flood mining, they no longer exist today.

Education and teaching

Located in Jiangshi street, Shuangfeng No.5 Middle School is the only full-time senior high school in the town. It has cultivated a lot of excellent talents and has become famous in various universities all over the country. In order to provide a better learning environment for students, the original zhenjingzi middle school, Songbai middle school and Baibi middle school were re integrated in 2006, and became the Affiliated Middle School of Shuangfeng No.5 Middle School after unification; as well as the gradual improvement of each primary school, it opened the way for the better centralized management of education in the whole town.
