Yangcundian Township

Yangcundian Township, located in the north end of Lengshuitan District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, covers an area of 82.76 square kilometers (2017). It is a semi hilly and semi mountainous area with 14 village committees under its jurisdiction. Most of the residents have the surname of Yang. The economy is dominated by agriculture, with abundant forest and Phyllostachys praecox.

Historical evolution

The township uses the natural place name of yangcundian village. In the territory, most of the surnames are Yang. There is a Dadian in front of the gate, so it is called yangcundian. At the beginning of liberation, there were three townships of yangcundian, Lingkou and Zhangjiachong. In 1952, they were changed into four townships of Daliyuan, huangchayuan, yangcundian and hujiaqiao. It was merged into yangcundian Township in 1956. In 1958, the people's commune was transformed into a peaceful people's commune. In 1961, it was independent as yangcundian people's commune, with 14 production teams, which is now 14 natural villages. In 1984, it was changed to yangcundian Township, which is under the jurisdiction of puliqiao district. In 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and yangcundian township was established.

Xiling

Shizitang
