Gaoshanbao Township, belonging to Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Guyuan County, bordering pingdingbao town in the East, xiaohezi Township in the south, baituyao Township in the West and Taipusi Banner in the north. It is 15 kilometers away from Guyuan County People's government, with a total area of 177 square kilometers.
In 1948, gaoshanbao Township belonged to the first district of Baoyuan County; in 1984, gaoshanbao commune was changed into gaoshanbao township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Gaoshan township was 10687. As of June 2020, gaoshanbao village has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in gaoshanbao village.
In 2018, gaoshanbao township has 3 industrial enterprises and 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1948, it was the first district of Baoyuan county.
In 1950, it was transferred to Guyuan County.
In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune.
In 1965, it was separated from Dongfeng commune and set up gaoshanbao commune.
In 1984, gaoshanpu commune was changed into gaoshanpu township.
