Baohe Yao Township, on November 26, 2015, the office of Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs issued the reply of Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on the approval of the township zoning adjustment plan in Beihu District of Chenzhou City (Xiangmin Xingfa [2015] No. 84), agreed to cancel Baohe town and Yuefeng Yao Township, and newly established Baohe Yao Township, which will integrate all administrative regions of Yuefeng Yao Township with Baohe, Huayuan and Xiaobu of Baohe town Baohe Yao township was established by the merger of 10 villages and Baohe community neighborhood committees, including Yuefeng, Shisi, Taoren, Taiyang, Zhengchong, Chayuan, jiemushan, huanghualing, Baohe, Huayuan, Xiaobu, Xinhua, Dalu, taibaidong, etc Songjiadong, Changping, chengmaping, Dingshang 18 villages, with a total area of 101.16 square kilometers (2017), a total population of 15241 people (2017), Township People's Government in baohewu.
