Siduping Township

Siduping township is located in the southwest border of Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City, bordering Yuanling County in the East and south, Yongshun County in the West and Daping town in the north. It is the hub of Yongding, Yuanling and Yongshun counties, 64 kilometers away from the city center.

With an area of 170.17 square kilometers (2017), it has 18 administrative villages including Yanya, Quanshui, wumuyu, Tianping, xiongbiyan, xiongjiata, Jiulong, Dabeixiang, hongjiajie, Huangjiahe, liaozhuping, Miaogang, xingjiayu, suanzijie, Shangcun, Zhongcun, Tongdu, luozita and siduping, 128 villager groups and 7815 people (2017).

Forestry is the largest pillar industry in the township, with abundant forestry resources, 366804 cubic meters of reserves, an annual output value of 3 million yuan, and a forest coverage rate of more than 90%.

Since its establishment, the township has established five bases, namely cattle and sheep breeding, edible fungi production, Chinese herbal medicine production, wild vegetable production and high-quality rice demonstration base, six pillar industries with strong driving effect, namely forestry, cattle and sheep, mushroom, flue-cured tobacco, herbal medicine and wild vegetable industry, and built giant salamander protection center station.
