Sanyanggang town

Sanyanggang town is located in the central and western part of Taoyuan County, 18 kilometers away from the county. Taoyuan to Longtan, Guanyinsi, mayiv; Taoyuan to Taipingqiao, Wuxi River; Taoyuan to xiangjiaqiao highway converge here. Yanxi River Valley runs through the whole town and is the hometown of the late famous general Wang Qimei.

General situation

According to the records of Guangxu county annals, Sanyang port is named after "Sanyang Kaitai" which means to join the three rivers. The town is located in the north of the three rivers. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Sanyanggang town belonged to Tongmu village of xianrui Township and Sanyanggang Township after liberation. In 1958, Qingyun and Sanyang townships formed communes. In April 1983, Taoyuan County was the first to restore the township government system. In August 1984, it approved the establishment of Sanyanggang town. The cultivated land is 36857.1 Mu and the dry land is 3910.2 mu.
