Qijialing Street

Qijialing street is under the jurisdiction of Yueyanglou District, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. Qijialing street is located in the southeast suburb of Yueyang City, 3km away from the city. It is adjacent to Kangwang Township in the East, Guozhen Township in the southwest and Nanhu Lake in the north. It covers an area of 13.245 square kilometers and has a population of 60375 (in 2010). The office is located in Xueyuan Road. It governs five communities of Qijia, Caijia, yueci, Xueyuan Road, panhuwan and one administrative village of Cangtian. Among them, yueci and Xueyuan Road are mainly industrial workers and family members of the former Electromagnet Factory.

Historical evolution

It belonged to Guozhen township of Yueyang County in 1949, Matang commune in 1959, Kangwang commune in 1967 and Wuli commune in 1976. On March 5, 1978, Beigang commune was established in Yueyang City. In 1984, it was changed to Beigang Township, a suburb. In 1996, it belonged to Yueyanglou district. The demonstration farm of Muyu seedlings under the former Suburban Agricultural Bureau was assigned to Beigang Township and renamed Muyu village. With an area of 23.5 square kilometers and a population of 38000, the township government is located in Sanyanqiao, which governs seven administrative villages, namely Wangyue, fengshu, Qijia, Beigang, Bazimen, Caijia and Muyu. In April 1996, Beigang village and Bazimen village in Beigang Township were assigned to Yueyang (Chenglingji) economic and Technological Development Zone. In 1997, with a total area of 18 square kilometers and a total population of 8671 households and 26884 people, including 22915 agricultural population, it has jurisdiction over 5 villages including fengshu, Qijia, Caijia, Wangyue and Muyu, and 44 villager groups. On July 18, 2001, yueci community (Wulipai street at that time) was established. In 2002, Beigang Township was abolished and Beigang street was newly established, with jurisdiction over six neighborhood committees. In July 2007, Beigang street was renamed qijialing street.

It can be said that our office is a comprehensive sub district office integrating enterprise restructuring, half city and half agriculture, and pure agricultural village. There are 1147 mu of idle land, 1775 mu of vegetable land, 689 mu of fish pond, 2866 mu of forest land and 800 mu of paddy field in the area, and there are 19 provincial, municipal and district units.

The residents in Cangtian village belong to pure agricultural hukou.
