Tanfu township is located in the east of Xinshao County, 25 kilometers west of the county. The cultivated land area of the township is 17839 mu, and the area of Phyllostachys pubescens is 50818 mu. It has jurisdiction over Jiangxi, dajiangbian, Guanchong, Yuejin, Liubei, zhujiefang, Zhutian, zhoujiaao, Hengjiang, shiquanchong, Hehui, shangtan, Zhongtan, xiatan, Shuikoushan, Longtan, piding, Dashu, Cairen, fengshukeng, tanjiaao, meiziwan, datuanian, xiaotuannian, zhengchongli, yapuling, xiaobaishui, chelutang, zhixichong, Zhangshu, Hongfu, Shiban and Yangye Administrative village. The territory is rich in resources and fertile land. Phyllostachys praecox ranks first in the county in terms of volume and output; fengshukeng reservoir in its jurisdiction has a water storage capacity of 16 million cubic meters; the soil conditions are good and suitable for the growth of various crops and cash crops. Longshan blocks the strong cold air blowing from the north in winter. In winter, the temperature in Tanfu Township in the south of Longshan is more than 2 degrees higher than that in Lianyuan City in the north, which is relatively warm and suitable for biological shelter.

Agriculture
In recent years, the township has actively carried out the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure in order to maximize agricultural benefits. Every year, the township develops 41039 mu of grain crops and 14282 tons of grain; 2810 mu of medicinal materials such as Polygonatum odoratum, Poria skullcap, Gastrodia elata and Radix Codonopsis; 9425 mu of other economic crops such as vegetables, watermelon and rape. Vigorously develop pig breeding and rural ecological energy construction. Every year, more than 15000 pigs and 2000 goats are sold, 51 large professional households are cultivated, and more than 240 biogas digesters are built in the township. The average annual income of farmers reached 1658 yuan. In 2007, the township continued to reclaim farmland and repair water conservancy infrastructure destroyed by the May 31 flood. Seven villages, including dajiangbian, Yuejin, jiangxichong and zhujiafang, have actively carried out land consolidation projects. More than 670 mu of water damaged farmland has been restored and more than 3000 mu of land has been consolidated. 1200 meters of levees were restored, 5 mountain ponds were hardened, and more than 8000 meters of high standard channels were built. The ability of agriculture to resist natural disasters has been further enhanced.
Industry
The township takes "prospering the township through industry" as an important strategic measure to realize Tanfu's economic take-off. In 2007, Xinshao Hongyi Wood Industry Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 18 million yuan and a plant area of 3000 square meters, was successfully settled in the township, with an annual gross output value of 14 million yuan and employment of more than 100 workers. Yaoyutang paper mill, Jiangxi paper mill, Hongfu zipper mill, Jinfeng glove mill and other original enterprises continue to expand their production scale, with an annual industrial output value of 2803 million yuan It can realize 3.66 million yuan of profits and taxes.
infrastructure
The infrastructure of Tanfu township is improving day by day, and the urbanization process is accelerating day by day. All of the 33 administrative villages are connected with electricity, post, access road and telephone. 20 villages, including Zhongtan, xiaobaishui, Wenjiang, chelongtang, Shuikou, piding, shangtan, Yangyi and Shiban, have completed the construction of cement and asphalt pavement, and 90% of the village groups have realized the road connection. In November 2006, a new home for the aged in Tanfu township was built, allowing 28 elderly people to live in their old age. The township has more than 2100 program-controlled telephones, 4 mobile base stations and 1 Unicom base station. The township has more than 7000 mobile phones, and the communication coverage rate is more than 80%. The work of power grid transformation is progressing smoothly, and the rural power grid transformation of 29 administrative villages has been completed in an all-round way; the medical and health facilities are becoming more and more perfect, and the comprehensive building of township health center has been built, with a total of 50 health stations in the territory; education is in the ascendant, with 2 middle schools and 17 primary schools in the territory, of which Tanfu middle school completed the construction of boarding school in April 2008; cable TV covers 28 villages in the township.
