Yuhe Street

Shihmen Reservoir

Shimen Reservoir is located in Shimen community, Yuhe street, Qidong County. It is named after Shimen plot and belongs to the upper reaches of Baihe River Basin. The construction of Shimen Reservoir was broken in 1955 and expanded into a small (I) reservoir in 1965. The pivotal project is composed of main dam, high and low culverts, spillway, rolling dam and compound gate. The dam is a homogeneous earth dam with a length of 103 meters, a height of 29.85 meters, a rainfall collection area of 13.5 square kilometers and a storage capacity of 2.43 million cubic meters The spillway is a practical weir with a discharge capacity of 120 m3 / s, 2 main canals of 9 m, 7 branch canals of 13 m, and an irrigation area of 4000 mu.
