Xialiu town is located at the intersection of Xiangjiang River and Jishui River, on the East Bank of Xiangjiang River, 20 kilometers west of Hengdong County. Human history

Xialiu Town, formerly known as xialiubu, was one of the important waterway towns in the Xiangjiang River Basin in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
