Jishui town

Jishui town of Hengdong County is located in the southeast of Hengshan Mountain, which is one of the five mountains in China. It is the most central part of Hengdong County. Jishui flows around the south of the county to the East and West. Jishui town is only 20 kilometers away from Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, marshal Luo Ronghuan's hometown in the East, adjacent to Wuji town across Jishui in the south, and is developing into a city. In the northwest, it reaches Dayuandu navigation power junction, Xintang Town and Kaiyun town. Nearby, there are Beijing Guangzhou railway, Beijing Guangzhou high speed railway, s314, s315, Beijing Hong Kong Macao expressway, QUANNAN expressway, Nanyue expressway, Jishui and Xiangjiang River (navigable in four seasons).

In December 2015, the two townships of tazhuang and Zhenzhu and Chengguan town were incorporated into a system to establish Jishui town. Jishui town was built in 1966 and became Hengdong County. It has a history of 50 years. Its construction has greatly promoted the development of Hengdong County.

Jishui town is the seat of Hengdong County People's government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is located on the North Bank of Jishui River in the most central part of Hengdong County and adjacent to Wuji town in the south. Jishui town in Hengdong County is a new town. It was first built in March 1966 and has a history of 50 years. In September 1970, it established an established town. In 1989, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, the former Jinhua township was merged into Chengguan town. Chengguan town is a land of fish and rice. The main crop is rice production, rich in soybean, peanut, cotton, sesame, rapeseed, sweet potato and so on.
Jishui town has a long history of corner box production and is a well-known corner box town. As early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the corner box processing here was very developed. The products sell well all over the country. After long-term development, the scale of production has been expanding. The varieties of flowers and colors increased. The traffic of Jishui town extends in all directions with complete public facilities. It connects Hengyang in the southwest, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and Changsha in the north, Youxian, Chaling and Yanling in the East, Hengshan railway station and Hengshan west station in the West. In recent years, the town Party committee, the town government and the relevant departments directly under the county government have actively raised funds to strengthen the construction of urban infrastructure. The scale of cities and towns is expanding day by day, and high-rise buildings are rising. A few days ago, Chengguan has complete communication facilities, program-controlled telephone direct dialing at home and abroad, and normal power and water supply. The suburban villagers (residents) are generally provided with tap water, and 100% of the rural villagers can drink clean well water. The coverage rate of cable broadcasting in rural areas of the town is more than 95%, and that of television is more than 100%. All social undertakings such as culture, education, health, radio and television have a good foundation. Professional troupes, cinemas, song and dance halls, libraries and other facilities are all available, and the mass cultural life is rich and colorful. It has been rated as the advanced unit of civilized and healthy city at county level in China.
