Historical evolution

At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, chashan'ao town belonged to the eighth District of Hengyang City. In 1961, Chashan people's commune was established. In 1984, it was changed into Chashan township. In 1985, it was changed into town. In 2001, it was changed from the suburb of Hengyang City to Zhuhui District of Hengyang City.

Zhuhui tower

Zhuhui pagoda is one of the three famous pagodas in Yancheng. It is located in otang village, chashan'ao Town, and is located on the baiting mountain on the East Bank of the river. It was built by Wang Zhichun of Hengyang, governor of Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty. It consumed 60000 liang of silver and took 13 years. It was built in 1897.

Tower 10 zhang5 feet high, brick structure, seven layers, eight ridges, stone steps, spiral ladder. To the southwest of the main entrance, the white marble banner above is engraved with the three characters of "Zhuhui tower" in douda regular script, and the white marble on both sides is carved with couplets in regular script: "Gaozhi Chuanshan, yuanmian Xuemai, Liuhui Leishui, Guangzhu Wenlan". There are birds and animals around the base of the tower. There are stone inscriptions embedded in the arch of the tower. It was written by Wang Xianqian, a scholar of Jiangsu Province, and written by Huang Ziwen, a magistrate of Ningxia. There are six pieces in the original, but there are four now. In front of the tower, there are veranda and several courtyards. The copper top of the tower reflects the sun.

What is the name of the tower? Because of the high terrain, the morning meets the morning light, and the evening is covered with rosy clouds, which are as dazzling as pearl jade. Climbing the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the magnificent mountains and rivers. Looking at Yancheng in the south, it looks like a myriad of things; looking at Hengyue in the north, the wind sails and sand birds, the long smoke is empty, which makes people relaxed and happy. The May 4th forest farm under the pagoda, with its shady trees and fragrant wild flowers, is more beautiful than the wild goose pagoda and Jielong pagoda.
