Ansha Town, belonging to Changsha County, Hunan Province, is located in the north central part of Hunan Province.

In 2017, the administrative area was 159.42 square kilometers, with 52374 permanent residents (2017), 51800 mu of cultivated land and 49.6 square kilometers of forest.

It has jurisdiction over 11 villages and 5 community neighborhood committees. Former premier Zhu Rongji was born in Heping Village, Ansha town. Ansha town has jurisdiction over Sanhe community, shuitangyuan community, Meitang community, Maotang community, Ansha community, Tangtian new village, wanjiapu village, Songjiaqiao village, Heping Village, YOUPU village, dinggongqiao village, Xinhua Village, Huangqiao village, Longhua new village, tanfang new village and Wulongshan village.

Location context

Our town is located in the north central part of Hunan Province, which is the north gate of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan area, the core economic circle of Hunan Province. It is the traffic hub connecting Chang Zhu Tan area with the Yangtze River Delta to the north.

Human history

Ansha town belongs to Chunhua capital in Qing Dynasty, Ansha Township in 1949, Tangtian Township, Dinggong Township and Shuitang Township in 1956, Dinggong commune in 1958, Tangtian Township, Dinggong Township and Shuitang commune in 1961. In 1983, Ansha township was established respectively. In 1994, Dinggong township was changed into Ansha township. After the District was withdrawn and merged in 1995, Tangtian Township and Shuitang Township were merged into Ansha town.

Ansha has a long history and rich culture. Luodaozui and Laodaohe in the territory it is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, because of the battle between Guan Yu and Changsha, Changsha accidentally slipped the Qinglong Yanyue sword into the river and went to the river to get the precious sword, which was named after Guan Yu's defeat and went to ximatang to wash the horse,

Up to now, the water in ximatang is muddy all the year round. It is said that the "golden line hanging gourd, sitting alone on the head of a fish, who can sit in the middle, and generations of Princes" in aoyutang has the "ten square river view" built in the Yuan Dynasty, which is the only existing female Taoist temple in China.

Traffic situation

National Highway 107 runs through Ansha town for 22.8 kilometers from north to south. Beijing Zhuhai expressway runs through Ansha town for 22.2km from north to south, with exits in Maotang in the South and Qingshanpu in the north of Ansha town. The provincial capital of Changsha City Ring Expressway (the Third Ring Road) runs through Ansha town from east to west, and connects with 107 National Highway and Beijing Zhuhai Expressway in Maotang area. Wanjiali North Road, the main road of Changsha City, extends north to Meitang village, Ansha town.

Ansha town is 15 kilometers away from Changsha railway station, and is connected with it through the third and second ring lines of Changsha City, with a 15 minute drive.

Ansha town is 18 kilometers away from Huanghua International Airport, which is connected by Beijing Zhuhai Expressway (107 National Highway) and Changyong Expressway (Airport Expressway), with a 12 minute drive.

Ansha town is 20 kilometers away from Xianing new port, the largest cargo terminal of Xiangjiang River. It is connected with it through Changsha Ring Expressway (Third Ring Line), and it takes 15 minutes by car. Ships of less than 100 tons can reach Ansha town directly from water through Laodao river.
