Zhaopeng town

Zhaopeng Town, the old revolutionary base, is located in the northeast border of Anlu City, at the junction of Guangshui and Xiaochang, with an East diameter of 113 ° 51 'and north latitude of 31 ° 26', covering an area of 114.2 square kilometers (2017). Revolutionary history

Zhao Jiapeng has a glorious revolutionary history. It is a red land and one of the Anti Japanese Democratic bases in central Hubei. In May 1939, under the orders of the Central Committee and the Central Plains Bureau, Li Xiannian led the troops to march into Zhao Jiapeng, convened a united front conference, and formed the first main group of the Hubei Henan border area, the advancing group of the New Fourth Army, which was co organized by the local anti Japanese organizations. In June, under the orders of the Central Committee and the Central Plains Bureau, Chen Shaomin led his troops to zhaojiapeng, where he joined Li Xiannian in Zhangjiachong, east of zhaojiapeng. It created an anti Japanese Democratic base behind enemy lines in the border areas of Anlu, Yingshan and Xiaogan counties with Zhao Jiapeng as the center. During the period of Anti Japanese War, Zhao Peng had "four kinds of" that is, more money, more grain, more soldiers and more sacrifices. The construction of Zhaopeng town has been further strengthened, with 4012 households and 13600 people. The road surface of the town has been hardened in an all-round way. The construction of the East Street has been consolidated, the South Street (Industrial Street) has been built, and the central villages such as Yangxing, Taomiao, Tuanshan, Zhongwan, Sundian, Taomiao and Wufeng have been built, which has greatly promoted the construction of the town. Revolutionary course

In order to remember the martyrs, inherit and carry forward the martyrs' will, and encourage future generations to carry forward the spirit of patriotism, in 1984, the town Party committee and the government raised funds to build an anti Japanese martyrs cemetery covering an area of more than 100 mu, a "zhaojiapeng Anti Japanese martyrs memorial tablet" and a memorial pavilion with a construction area of 100 square meters. There are more than 300 revolutionary cultural relics in the exhibition room, including newspapers and periodicals published during the Anti Japanese War, guns and daily necessities used by Anti Japanese martyrs. In 1988, Li Xiannian, the main leader of the party and state, his wife Lin Jiamei, and Guan Guangfu, the former Secretary of the provincial Party committee, came to Zhaopeng and presented a flower basket to the monument of revolutionary martyrs. President Li Xiannian also planted evergreen trees in front of the martyrs' monument.

Regional climate

Zhaopeng town is a famous dry baozi town. There is no big river or water system in the town. It has been dry for nine years. Zhaopeng town is basically hilly and belongs to the north subtropical monsoon climate zone. The climate is characterized by short spring and autumn, long winter and summer, four distinct seasons and hot and rainy summer. The annual average precipitation is 1100 mm, the annual average temperature is 16.0 ℃, the average temperature in January is 2.8 ℃, and the average temperature in July is 26.1 ℃.

This is the monument to the Anti Japanese martyrs in zhaojiapeng, which was personally named by former president Li Xiannian. The whole steps leading to the monument have three levels, a total of 107 steps,

(1) There are 21 levels from the ground to the first level, representing the birth of the Communist Party of China in 1921;

(2) There are 37 levels from the first level to the second level, commemorating the outbreak of the Chinese people's Anti Japanese war in 1937;

(3) From the second level to the Martyrs Monument, there are 49 levels, commemorating the birth of the people's Republic of China in 1949.

The whole step symbolizes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people experienced the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation, and finally established a new China.
