Liangyu Township
Liangyu township is located in the southeast of Baokang County, bordering Longping in the northeast, Chongyang in the south, MALIANG in the West and Dashui forest farm in the north. It is 17.5 km wide from east to west and 20.5 km long from north to south. The total area of the township is 163.27 square kilometers (2017), with a cultivated area of 20205 mu. Introduction to Liangyu Township
According to legend, there used to be a small hill beside the dongcha River and the Xicha River in the township, which looks like a fish and stretches into the river center, so it is called "two fish". Therefore, most of the land is a landscape gorge, with the terrain of the Three Gorges and two valleys. After a long time, the mountain and valley become one, and gradually evolved into "two valleys". Liangyu market town was officially built in the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 170 years. According to the revision of Nanzhang county annals in the 11th year of the Republic of China (rejuvenating the country in Nanzhang), Liangyu is under the jurisdiction of Qianshan Town in Nanzhang County, which is called liangyuji. After liberation, it was designated as Baokang, which is called Liangyu district. It was incorporated into MALIANG District in 1956, changed into Liangyu commune in 1958, changed into Liangyu District in 1984, and changed into Liangyu Township in 1987.
Natural climate
The whole township of Liangyu has overlapping mountains and rolling terrain. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The terrain can be divided into low mountain valley, semi high mountain and high mountain. The average altitude is 800 meters. The highest point is Julong mountain at the junction of yuantaoyuan village and Dashui forest farm in the northwest, with an altitude of 1720 meters. The lowest point is Lijiawan at Wangjiapo village in the south, with an altitude of 400 meters. It is a subtropical monsoon climate with complex terrain structure, resulting in two kinds of climate: low mountain valley climate and high mountain climate. The annual average temperature is 14 ℃, the summer average temperature is 24 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 39 ℃, the winter average temperature is 2.5 ℃, the extreme minimum temperature is - 6 ℃, and the annual average rainfall is 850mm, mainly concentrated in summer and autumn. The frost free period is 170 days in high mountain and half high mountain according to the terrain The disaster weather mainly includes low temperature in spring and autumn, continuous rain, drought and rainstorm, hail and wind disaster.

Liangyu township is famous for its Auricularia auricula and aromatic fungi, with an annual output of 270000 Jin; and its tobacco industry is characterized by good quality, large scale and high yield per unit area, with an average annual output of 10000 mu, an annual output of 1.8 million jin, and a tax revenue of more than one million yuan. In 2001, Maping tobacco science and technology demonstration park was named as tobacco science and technology demonstration base by provinces and cities.
