Transitional Bay Town

Transitional bay town is located in the north of Baokang County, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. The town borders Gucheng County in the East and North, Siping town in the west, Chengguan town and Huangpu town in the south. It is 24 kilometers long from east to west and 17 kilometers wide from north to south. The total land area is 152.2 square kilometers.

General situation

The town has many peaks and ravines. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. It is known as "ten ravines and nine beams". The main peaks are dashanzhai, caopoliangzi, wanlianshan, meihuazhai, etc. The main rivers are Xigou, Meihua River, bayugou, Chahe, tuoyugou and so on, which flow into the Nanhe river. The water energy reserve is about 3800 kW. The average altitude is 700m, the highest point caopoliangzi is 1414.6m, and the lowest point fengqiaogoukou is 194m.

There are deer, muntjac, snake, pheasant, golden pheasant and other birds and animals in the mountain. The wild "giant salamander" is a first-class national protected animal.

Chimonanthus Valley

Chimonanthus Valley is located in zitangou, transitional Bay Town, Baokang County, more than 20 kilometers away from the county. The only wild Chimonanthus group in the eastern hemisphere grows here, belonging to the wild Chimonanthus community left by Quaternary ancient glaciers. Every winter, Chimonanthus praecox is in full bloom, just like a sea of flowers, with fragrant fragrance, and the flowering period is as long as three months. It is a rare ecotourism scenic spot in Northwest Hubei. On the basis of the original pure forest of nearly 1000 hectares of wild Chimonanthus praecox, "Chimonanthus praecox Valley" fully displays and highlights the word "wild". It has cultivated wild Chimonanthus praecox, Wild Peony, Taxus chinensis, Rhododendron and other wild rare plants in a large area, forming a 10 km long corridor of "Chimonanthus praecox Valley".

Plum Blossom Village

Meihuazhai, located in Qingtan village, transitional Bay Town, Baokang County, is a comprehensive resort integrating mountain skiing, grass skiing, leisure, sightseeing and mountain summer resort. The resort has four distinct seasons, with an average altitude of 1100 meters and the highest peak altitude of 1300 meters, covering an area of more than 5000 mu.
