Gezhouba Street

Gezhouba sub district office of Xiling District, Yichang City, Hubei Province is located in Yanjiang Avenue, with a population of 40111 (2010) and an area of 3.5 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 10 neighborhood committees: qiaohu 2nd Road, Qingjiang, Qingbo Road, shiziling, qiaohu, Donghu, Xixia, Dongfang, Hongqiao and Qiaotou.

Gezhouba street is located in the center of the famous Gezhouba Water Control Project and Gezhouba Group. It is adjacent to Dongshan Avenue in the East, Yanjiang Avenue in the west, Xiling Street office in the South and Gezhouba head in the north. The total area of the district is 3.5 square kilometers. Nine community neighborhood committees, including Qingbo Road, shiziling, qiaohu, qiaohu 2nd Road, Dongfang, Xixia, Hongqiao, Donghu and Qiaotou, are under the jurisdiction of the street. All of them are enterprise community neighborhood committees. There are about 14000 households and 40111 permanent residents in the district (2010). Gezhouba Street Party Working Committee has five grass-roots party branches with 45 party members, including two organ party branches with 25 party members and three non-public enterprise party branches with 20 party members. The administrative area under the jurisdiction of the street office is the political, economic and cultural center of the state-owned Gezhouba Group Company. There are more than 10 Central and provincial enterprises, including the headquarters of Gezhouba Group Company and its first company, second company, sixth company, machinery and shipping company, mechanical and electrical installation company, electric power company, financial company, commercial building, etc. For a long time, the street always adheres to the party building as the promotion of development, actively explores non-public party building, carries out co construction, takes building harmony as the purpose, and takes promoting development as the support, so as to build an innovative street with developed economy, beautiful environment, prosperous culture and harmonious society.
