Eping township is located in Zhuxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, 28 kilometers away from the county seat. Xingjie road runs through the east of the township, Ehong road goes directly to Zhenping, Shaanxi Province, and huiwan river runs through the whole territory.

It has jurisdiction over 19 village committees: luohanya, Xiwan, Santong, xiaeping, Yanqing, shanggaoqiao, Qingyun, zitongya, xiejiata, shangeping, jiepaigou, Mozigou, Minyu, Zhangwan, Dongwan, Xiaohui, tangjiafan, Dahewan and Jiuwan.

Important scenic spots

① During the Jiaqing period of the Ming Dynasty, the emperor ordered officials to cut down Phoebe trees in order to build the Forbidden City. The officials went through many difficulties and dangers, and finally found it in cixiaogou, eping Township, Zhuxi. Thus, three poems were inscribed on the 8-meter-square Cliff: "when you pick up the imperial wood, go into the valley and ask for it. If you don't get it, you'll wander around. When you pick up the imperial wood, go into the valley and ask for it. If you offer it, you'll get it. When you get the wood, you'll get the beautiful material, and you'll get it." The stone inscriptions are arranged in regular script with 9 lines and 68 characters in total. The characters are mellow, vigorous and powerful, and the content reflects the situation of cutting wood in the palace at that time. The cliffs are surrounded by a mixture of thorns, shade of trees, quiet and elegant, full of ancient flavor. In the past, the site of caihuangmu was full of branches and leaves. Moyan's poems and carvings are listed as cultural relics protection sites by Zhuxi County Government, and cixiaogou is also listed as a precious nanmu protection area in Zhuxi County.
