Yangyuan street is located in the north of Wuchang District. It was built in the Qing Dynasty. It originated from a garden built by a foreigner. It was called "Yangyuan" and changed to "Yangyuan" in 1961. Yangyuan Street borders Heping township of Hongshan District in the East, the Yangtze River in the west, and Qingshan District in the north. It has a population of 80012 and an area of 3.36 square kilometers.

Yangyuan street is located in Heping avenue of Wuchang. According to research, during the Qing Dynasty, a foreigner built a garden in Qiaoqiao Village (the former outpatient department of the railway hospital) in Wuchang, which is called Yangyuan. Later, the foreign garden became Zhang Xueliang's travel garden, but the name of "foreign garden" has not changed. in the early 1960s, Yangyuan was renamed Yangyuan, which has been in use today. The original four buildings built by foreigners are now the office of the fourth Design Institute of the Ministry of railways. This is the name of Yangyuan street.
