Renji Township

Renji township is located in the southwest border of Luyi County, Henan Province, Laozi's hometown. It is adjacent to Xinji Town and Shiliang town in the north, Zhangdian Township in the East, Huaiyang County in the West and Dancheng County in the south. It is 13 kilometers long from east to west and 7 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 63.53 square kilometers (2017). Area code: 0394, postcode: 477281.

Historical evolution

Agricultural water conservancy

The terrain of the township is flat and the soil is fertile. There are two kinds of mixed soil in the East and silting soil in the middle and West. The main food crops are wheat, corn, soybean, sorghum, etc. The main economic crops are cotton and tobacco. After 1949, great attention was paid to water conservancy and farmland capital construction, and the Jingou River in the northeast, the Liguan River in the southwest and the Heihe River flowing through the middle were successively controlled. Hongqigou and Shengli gully were newly excavated.

Celery planting has a history of more than 20 years.
