Fucaolou town is located in the southeast of Taikang County, Henan Province. It is adjacent to Zhangji Township in the East, Huaiyang Lincai Township in the south, laozhong town in the west, Maozhuang town and Machang town in the north. It is 12.5 km long from north to South and 6 km wide from east to west, covering a total area of 71 square kilometers (2017). Historical evolution

Liuzhuang commune was established in 1958, changed its name to fucaolou commune in 1961 and changed to township in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 73.4 square kilometers and has a population of 47000. History and culture

Fucaolou town has a long history. There is an ancient tomb in huaisi Temple of fucaolou town. There is a broken tablet recording that "Huaihe was buried here after summer". After excavation and identification by the cultural relics department, it is the cultural heritage of Yangshao, Longshan, Shang and Han Dynasties.

Folk legend about the origin of fucaolou's name: fucaolou's original name was Fuzhuang, which got its name because people surnamed Fu lived here. One of them is a rich man with the surname Fu. His family has a lot of money and a lot of fertile land. He has only one son and two grandchildren. When the rich man is old, he wants to build a building, which not only benefits his descendants, but also glorifies his family and makes him enjoy his old age. So he spent a lot of money to buy back wood and bricks. Two of his grandchildren were young and ignorant. Seeing the colorful glazed tiles, they felt strange and funny. The older one tied the two tiles with a rope, carried them with a branch, knocked them with a stick, and ran, shouting: "who will buy the tiles? I sell tiles The old man was very unhappy about this. He thought he had spent half his life trying to save money and save money. He wanted to leave a family fortune for his descendants, but he didn't expect that his eldest grandson was so unlucky. He wanted to sell tiles before the building was built. In the twinkling of an eye, I saw my little grandson and thought that if the big grandson sold it and let the little grandson buy it, the property would still be my own. Immediately he arranged for his little grandson to say, "your brother sells Wali. Go and buy it."

But the little grandson said, "I won't buy it! Just now I played with tiles, he didn't let me play, he sold tiles, I fell tiles! " The old rich man was so angry that he almost lost his breath. "I didn't expect Sun Tzu to be so disdainful. It seems that his hard-earned family business will be defeated by two Sun Tzu's hands, but the building materials are all ready. What should I do? Ah! No! Aren't they going to sell tiles? Then I don't need tiles to build a building! " So he bought Sophora japonica and tung oil to build the roof. He spread a layer of Sophora japonica and poured tung oil once, which was three layers and two feet thick. After the tung oil was dried, the hooks didn't move. The story of Fu's rich man building Cao Lou spread quickly, and people began to use Cao Lou as Fu Zhuang. Because it was Fu's Cao Lou, it gradually became Fu Cao Lou. Later, I don't know what year it spread to. The Fujia family suffered from a fire and the Caolou was reduced to ashes. But the name of fucaolou village is still used today.
