Hu nationality Pu town is located in the west of Gushi County, Henan Province. It is located at the junction of Gushi, Huangchuan and Huaibin counties. It is known as the "west gate of Gushi". It covers 184 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 29 villages (streets), 399 residential groups and 83000 people (in 2020).

In 2007, the town achieved GDP of 520 million yuan, fiscal revenue of 3.62 million yuan, per capita net income of farmers of 3901 yuan, and the comprehensive economic index ranked in the forefront of Xinyang City.

Historical evolution

Hu District was set up in 1949, Hu Pu Township was set up in 1956, Yuejin commune was changed in 1958, Hu commune was renamed in 1959, Hu Pu Township was changed in 1983.
