Wangdu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wangdu County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is the seat of the people's Government of Wangdu county. Located in the middle of Wangdu County, it borders Gaoling Township in the East, Gudian town in the south, Heibao Township in the west, Sizhuang town in the north and Zhaozhuang town in the northeast. The largest distance from the jurisdiction is 7.7 dry meters, the largest distance from north and south is 6.8 kilometers, the total area is 39.8 square kilometers, and the total registered residence population is 55970 (2018).

Wangdu Town, formerly known as Chengguan Town, is the place name of Wangdu County in the past dynasties. In 1946, Chengguan town was established. In January 1962, Wangdu county system was restored, belonging to the people's commune of Chengguan town. In January 1984, Chengguan town was rebuilt. In 1986, it was renamed Wangdu town. As of October 2019, Wangdu town has jurisdiction over 9 communities and 19 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Wangdu town is located at 41 Zhonghua West Road.

In 1946, Chengguan town was established.

In June 1950, it belongs to Chengguan District.

In June 1953, it belongs to Chengguan Township, Chengguan District.

In June 1958, Wangdu county and Tang County merged; in September of the same year, they belonged to the red flag people's commune.

In January 1959, Hongqi people's commune was renamed Wangdu people's town commune.

In January 1962, Wangdu county system was restored, belonging to the people's commune of Chengguan town.

In January 1984, Chengguan town was rebuilt.

In 1986, Wangdu County included nine villages, including beichenzhuang, gujia, Fanjia, Majia, Qujiawan, Xinjie, Longjiazhuang, shenzhuang, and Balizhuang, which originally belonged to Yangjiacun Township and Xiti Township, into Wangdu town.

In 1997, Wangdu town governed 23 administrative villages, including Qujiawan, Shenjiazhuang, Xinjie, Longzhuang, beichenzhuang, gujia village, Fanjia village, Majia village, Balizhuang, Chengnei, Nanguan, Beiguan, Suoyao, Dongguan, xiaoxidi, Daxidi, beihanzhuang, Hanzhuang, dayangqingzhuang, xiaoyangqingzhuang, beikangzhuang, Qizhuang and Tongxia.

In 2002, Wangdu town governed one community and 23 administrative villages.

At the end of 2013, Wangdu town had eight neighborhood committees, namely, Yaocheng, Chengnei, Beiguan, Qujiawan, Dongguan, Fanrong, Changsheng and Zhenxing, and 18 villagers' committees, namely, shenzhuang, Longzhuang, Xinjie, Nanguan, beichenzhuang, gujia village, Fanjia village, Majia village, Balizhuang, xiaoxidi, daxidii, Tongxia, Qizhuang, Hanzhuang, dayangqingzhuang, xiaoyangqingzhuang, beikangzhuang and beihanzhuang.
