Anpeng Town, located in the northwest of Tongbai County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, is a regional central small city radiating the junction of Tanghe County, Tongbai County and Biyang County.

Anpeng town is rich in resources and is a well-known resource treasure house town. The main minerals include oil, natural gas, natural alkali, gypsum, Glauber's salt, potassium feldspar, etc., of which Glauber's salt reserves are 140 million tons and natural alkali reserves are 200 million tons, ranking first in Asia and second in the world. Historical evolution

The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to the New Security Bureau of Tang County, Nanyang Prefecture. In the first year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Bidian District, Tang County, Nanyang Prefecture; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to Bidian District, daojiyuan County, Southern Henan Province; in the twelfth year of the Republic of China (1923), it belonged to Bidian District, Tanghe County; in the twentieth year of the Republic of China (1931), it belonged to Pingshi District, Tongbai County; in the 35th year of the Republic, it belonged to Liyuan joint security office, the second office of the sixth administrative region of Henan Province (the office of the inspector general in Nanyang County); in the 30th year, it belonged to Pingshi Town, Tongbai County.
