Xihuang Township

Xihuang Township belongs to Xichuan County, Henan Province. It is located in the southwest of Henan Province, close to Hubei Province and Shaanxi Province. It is said that "one county crosses three provinces".

Xihuang township is located in the northwest of Xichuan County, adjacent to Maotang Township in the East, Siwan town in the south, jingziguan town in the west, DINGHE Township and Chongyang Township in Xixia County in the north. Qihe river flows from the north of Xihuang to the southeast, leaving yawuyazi and entering Siwan township to Danjiang.

It is 17.5 kilometers long from north to South and 13 kilometers wide from east to west, covering an area of 235 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, 169 natural villages, 180 villager groups and 20373 people (2017).

The 25 village committees are: Guandimiao village, WoLonggang village, Liushu village, Luoyang village, Taohua village, Liulin village, Baizhuang village, Yawu village, Xinjian village, Mujiagou village, Daihe village, Liwan village, zhangnangou village, hebeiying village, Dashihe village, Qianwan village, Xiewan village, daixinggou village, Liuxihe village, qikeshu village, heimazhuang village, zhanghuagou village, jieyuangou village and Maojiazhuang village Village, xiameichi village.

Xianglu, Taohua, Fengzi, Jiangjunzhai, Qipan, Dahua, Houshan and maocaoling are the remaining veins of the Qinling Mountains, with an altitude between 1006m and 452m.

Historical evolution:

In March 1969, the district was abandoned and merged with Xihuang and Douling communes, and 25 brigades set up Xihuang people's commune. In December 1983, the township was changed.

Near the outside street is Qi river. The preliminary work of the southern section (from Lushi County to Xiping County) was carried out in early 2010, and the feasibility report and preliminary design have been approved. On December 22, 2011, the foundation of the project was officially laid, and the construction period was four years, and the project was completed in 2014.

The construction of the project will meet the increasing demand of North-South passenger and freight flow in Western and southwest Henan, promote the development of coal resources and mountain resources in Henan Province, as well as the construction of manufacturing base, and promote the coordinated development of regional economy.
