Sihe Township

Sihe township is located in the southeast of Lingbao City, Henan Province, with Shaanxi county in the northeast, Luoning County in the southeast, Lushi County in the south, Sucun Township in the southwest, Dongcun Township in the west, and Chuankou forest farm in the north. It is 36 kilometers away from Lingbao City, and national highway 209 passes through.

In September 2018, Sihe township was selected into the list of demonstration towns with strong agricultural industry.

Historical evolution

In 1966, it was transferred from Chuankou commune to build Sihe commune. In 1983, it was changed to township. In 1997, it covers an area of 90.8 square kilometers and has a population of 5000. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages including Liubai, mowan, nannian, mengjiahe, Xincun, huofuguan, Mihe, pogen, Sihe, tunian and Wotou. In 2005, Dongcun township was abolished and merged into Sihe township.

Attachment: Dongcun township is located in the southeast of Lingbao City. It was built in 1991. In 1997, it covers an area of 40.1 square kilometers and has a population of 7000. It governs five administrative villages, namely Chaoyang, niuxin, YaoYuan, Yancun and gounan.

Basic information

Sihe township is located in the southeast mountain area of Lingbao City, in the hinterland of Gushan Mountain in the west of Henan Province, with various landforms, including four mountains, three ridges, three ditches and four slopes. There are 95 big and small mountain tops and 93 big and small ditches, forming a concave convex fan shape. The township government is located in Sihe village, 32 kilometers away from the urban area. Lingbao Sihe highway passes through.

The total land area of the township is 154.71 square kilometers (2017), with 582 hectares of cultivated land and 1667.41 hectares of orchard. There were 6594 people in the township (in 2017).

(1) Fruit production. During the year, we continued to implement the four strategies of apple production. First, pollution-free strategy. Strictly control the use of prohibited pesticides and chemical fertilizers, vigorously promote the biological control and physical control of new technologies, promote the application of 80 black light lamps and more than 2500 traps, effectively control the occurrence of fruit diseases and insect pests, and maintain the ecological balance of the orchard. Second, the strategy of high-quality projects. The township has established 15 high-standard boutique parks, 60 demonstration parks and 150 tree shaped transformation parks, with a total area of 33.33 hectares. Third, the strategy of invigorating fruits through science and technology. We focused on the promotion and application of four practical technologies, including 130 million fruit bagging, 1333.33 hectares of scientific fertilization, 33.33 hectares of orchard grass planting and 333.33 hectares of tree shape transformation. Fourth, brand strategy. 18 hectares of SOD apple and 3.33 hectares of calcium and selenium rich apple were newly developed. In that year, the total output of fruits in the township was 20.519 million kg, including 20.509 million kg of apples. (2) Tobacco production. In that year, 14 new seedling greenhouses (including 1 floating seedling greenhouse) were built, and the intensive seedling raising and improved seed application rate reached 100%; 100 new lower row wet pit houses were built. A total of 51 hectares of tobacco leaves were planted in the township, with an output of 77000 kg and an output value of 700000 yuan. (3) Animal husbandry production. At that time, 132, 682, 2103 and 4571 large livestock, pigs, sheep and poultry were sold in the township; at the end of the year, there were 1721 large livestock, 674 pigs, 1617 sheep and 107675 poultry cages. The total output of meat in the whole year is 100000 kg. (4) Forestry production. In that year, 33 hectares of barren hills were planted in the township, more than 50000 trees were planted on the four sides, and 666.67 hectares of natural forest were protected. (5) Edible fungus production and traditional Chinese medicine cultivation. In that year, 100000 bags of Lentinus edodes were cultivated in the township, and 10 hectares of Chinese medicinal materials such as banlanban, Xueshen and Huangqin were planted.

During the year, the township introduced 3 million yuan of foreign capital and built a project, namely Sihe Township mechanism carbon plant.
