history
Beileng township has a long history and complex regional changes. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the administrative regions below the county level were based on maps. Hanoi county had 41 maps under its jurisdiction, and Beileng was the second map of Suishang. At the beginning of the Republic of China, Qinyang was divided into four districts according to the abandoned maps. Beileng belonged to the Second District of Qinyang and was located in Beileng village. In the 35th year of the Republic of China, the KMT Qinyang government abandoned the district and set up a town. Beileng was designated as Wende town. The town was located in Beileng, with jurisdiction ranging from Wude town in the East, Longjian in the west, Wenxian County in the South and Qinhe River in the north. In 1945, Wenxian county was liberated for the first time. The fourth Taihang special office of the Communist Party of China established Wenxian people's government, which divided Wenxian County into six districts. Beileng was under the jurisdiction of six districts. Beileng district was located in Beileng and had jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages. On October 1, 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded, and Beileng District 6 remained its original structure. In 1950, in order to rapidly recover and develop the economy, the county Party committee decided to divide Wenxian County into five districts. Beileng was then changed into five districts. The district government was stationed in Beileng, with jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages and 42 natural villages. In 1952, the county was still divided into six administrative districts, Beileng was still changed into six districts, with jurisdiction over 35 natural villages. In 1956, the county was divided into 13 townships and one Chengguan town. Beileng, Xubao and Wude towns were each one township. In 1958, in order to meet the needs of cooperation, the three townships were merged into Beileng township. Beileng village is the township's resident, with 29 administrative villages and 36 natural villages under its jurisdiction. In 1962, Beileng people's commune was divided into three communes: Beileng people's commune, Xubao people's Commune and Wude Town People's commune. In 1982, the people's commune was abolished and the Township People's government was established. The title of Beileng township has been used up to now. In a word, over the past 100 years, the scope of Beileng township has changed six times. When the scope is large, it governs the scale of four or five townships. However, limited to the current situation, Beileng village is the seat of the government in every change. It is a historical choice for administrative divisions to retain Beileng township. At the same time, Beileng has simple local customs, profound cultural accumulation and strong regional center consciousness, which is conducive to the promotion and development of various work.
