Gaodi Township

Gaodi Township, located 20 kilometers west of Neihuang County, is adjacent to Dongzhuang town and Bocheng town in the East, Weihe River and Tangyin in the west, Er'an Township in the south, Weihe River and Dougong town in the north. It covers an area of 61.1 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, 26 natural villages, 154 villager groups and 25075 people (2017). The cultivated land is 63000 mu, and the per capita cultivated land of farmers is 1.6 mu. In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township was 179.76 million yuan, and the fiscal revenue was 1.834 million yuan.

Historical evolution

It is said that it is named Gaodi because of its dike (built when it was used to control water). Gaodi town was set up in the Qing Dynasty and was designated as the third district of Neihuang County in the period of the Republic of China. Before and after the founding of new China, Neihuang County was divided into the first district and the seventh district. In 1957, GAODI township was established by withdrawing districts and merging townships. In 1958, GAODI township was changed into commune and in 1984, GAODI township was rebuilt. In 1997, with an area of 71 square kilometers and a population of 36000, it has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, including Xiaoliu, Caopo, Xiaotun, zuitou, nangaodi, Zhengzhuang, Nanzhai, beizhainan street, beizhaibei street, Yuanzhuang, zhange, Wange, hane, Yange, sune, rancunzhaili, rancunwai, Zhuzhuang, Dongyuan village, Xiyuan village, Chencun, Guancun, Dongdu village, Xidu village and Wangying.

Transportation and communication

Greenhouses cover an area of 9150 mu, mainly concentrated in Zhaili, zhaiwai, Yange, Wangying and other villages along the Hetai highway.
