Banpo town

Banpo township is located in the southeast of Yichuan County, most of the town above 400 meters above sea level, is the mountainous township of Yichuan County. Banpo village is 36 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Dengfeng City in the East, Ruzhou city in the south, Baisha Town in the west, Jiangzuo town in the north, Zheng, Ping and Luo cities. The Baijiang river runs through the East and West. Maling mountain is located in the south, with a total area of 54 square kilometers and 20000 mu of cultivated land.

Evolution of organizational system

During the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, a large number of Shanxi immigrants swarmed into the Central Plains, and people settled in Banpo area, and then formed more than ten villages.

In 1975, Banpo people's commune was established by the first Department of xijiangzuo people's commune in Yichuan County, and it was changed into Banpo township at the end of 1983.

In 2012, the township was removed and the town was built.

Banpo town has 12 administrative villages and 29 natural villages. The administrative villages include Banpo, Lugou, Duanzhuang, laojuntang, Suncun, daguogou, Lichun, Baiyao, Hougou, Hezhuang, LiuYao and xiaoguogou.
